If I Had Wings is the forthcoming four track EP from Linden released on Edwyn Collin’s own AED Records and is the first single to be taken from the critically acclaimed album Bleached Highlights.
The title track, which Joe describes as his “crossover track” - the place where loss and happiness meet, has already been playlisted on BBC Radio Scotland, is further supplemented by two new songs and the original demo of Written from Bleached Highlights.
<3Felt is a dreamy, jingle jangle of a song and My Beating Heart is from a soundtrack Joe has written for forthcoming film “The Corkscrew Road” (a version of the song has also been used by visual artists Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard to soundtrack their short film “FIrst Kiss”). The final track is the original demo of album track Written which was recorded at Joe’s home in Argyll and mixed by his friend and producer Sace.
Linden will be performing during April on selected dates with their glorious leader, Edwyn Collins and also at Jim Lambies The Poetry Club in Glasgow to celebrate the release of the If I Had Wings EP.
As part of Record Store Day 2012, the AED Records Posse - Edwyn Collins, Dead Flamingoes and Linden will be performing in Glasgow at Monorail (12 Kings Court, Glasgow, G1 5RB. Tel - 0141 552 9458) this coming Saturday, 21/4/12. The scheduled time, according to Monorail, is 8.30pm but there is lots going on so if I were you, I’d plan on popping down earlier… Hopefully see some of you there xx
